POLAND – Poland Regional High School seniors will hold a Celebration of Learning on Thursday and Friday, May 1 and 2.
Each graduating senior will present a self-designed long-term project as a culmination of his/her high school experience. Projects range from creating a short film to learning how to create a 3-D video game to researching what it takes to become a successful mechanic.
Sophomores will present their Core Portfolios, a study of three essential questions: Who am I as a learner? How am I doing? Where am I going?
In addition to viewing the Core Portfolios and Senior Celebrations and serving as student-assessors for the presentations, freshmen and juniors will take part in their own class activities.
Juniors will go on college visits, prepare for the SATs, participate in mock college and job interviews and research college and scholarship information.
Contact Angela Atkinson Duina or Derek Pierce for information about specific presentation times at 998-5400.
