1930 – 2003

Lewiston – Mrs. Beverly Elaine (Farnham) Martin, 72, widow of Basil “Buster” Martin, of 38 Chase Ave., Mexico, died Friday May 2 at Central Maine Medical Center of complications from diabetes.

She was born in North Conway, N.H., June 4, 1930, the daughter of George and Arlene Emperor Farnham.

She was a loving wife and mother of six daughters and one son.

She enjoyed doing puzzles, reading and working in her flower garden, even from her wheelchair. She especially loved cooking for her very large family on all the holidays.

She is survived by six daughters, Sandra Blodgett of Rumford, Peggy Martin of Lewiston, Terri and Elden Yates of Rumford, Penny Martin and Pete Blais of Peru, Tina and Gary LaPrell of Auburn, and Tammy and Richie Philbrick of Rumford; and one son, Barry and Wendy Martin of Mexico; 18 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Ann Albert of Litchfield and Carolyn Perzanowski of Utah; and one brother, George E. Farnham of Lisbon.
