TOPSHAM – Walter J. Flanagan and David W. Stiles have been named vice presidents of Wright-Pierce civil and environmental engineering firm.
Flanagan is the firm’s building Design Services Practice Group leader responsible for providing structural, electrical, instrumentation and controls, mechanical and architectural design services for Wright-Pierce’s projects. He has been with Wright-Pierce for 15 years and is a registered professional engineer in Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island.
He is a member of the American Society for Testing and Materials, the American Society of Civil Engineers, the Structural Engineering Institute, the Structural Engineers Association of Maine, the American Concrete Institute, and BOCA International. Flanagan received his bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and his master’s of science degree in civil engineering (Structural) from Northeastern University. He and his wife reside in Topsham.
Stiles is Wright-Pierce’s Practice Group leader for quality control and technical support. He manages the firm’s engineering technicians and construction inspectors and is responsible for Wright-Pierce’s Quality Management Program.
He has been with Wright-Pierce for 25 years. Stiles is a registered professional engineer in Maine and New Hampshire, a Maine Grade IV licensed treatment plant operator, and a certified site evaluator/designer for subsurface wastewater disposal in Maine and New Hampshire. He is a member of the Water Environment Federation, the New England Water Environment Association, and the Maine Wastewater Control Association. Stiles received his bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from the University of Maine. He and his family reside in Durham.
