METHUEN, Mass. – Sister Jeannine Robitaille, 72, died Monday at the Holy Family Hospital.

Born in Lewiston, she had been living in Methuen for the past 37 years. She was also a registered nurse.

She entered the religious life in Hudson, NH in 1950, she took her religious name, Sister Francois-de-Paul at that time. After her profession, she taught elementary school in Maine, Massachusetts and Vermont.

In 1966 she studied for her nursing degree. Upon graduation she became the head nurse at the Sisters Infirmary here in Methuen. She also worked at Holy Family Hospital for almost 20 years until she retired because of illness.

Survivors include one sister, Theresa Robitaille; one brother, Maurice Robitaille, M.D. of Detroit, Mich.
