FARMINGTON – Franklin Community Health Network has selected Darlene Dipompo as the monthly-featured employee of the Stars Incentive Program. Dipompo is a lead radiologic technologist and has worked at Franklin Memorial Hospital for 21 years.

The Stars Incentive Program was developed by Franklin Community Health Network to show employee-to-employee appreciation for little, but special things, that are done for each other.

Dipompo received her winning blue star from Carolyn Venskus for coming in to work unexpectedly at midnight to cover for her. “She always helps everyone no matter what, no matter when,” said Venskus. “I’ve worked with Darlene for 19 years and she has always been a very dedicated, compassionate, exemplary employee.”

Dipompo also received two additional nominations from other co-workers for similar characteristics.

As a featured employee of the Stars Incentive Program, Dipompo’s picture and biography are now posted on the employee bulletin board and she received a tote bag, pin and movie pass. She will also be eligible for the annual grand prize drawing of star nominees.

As part of the hospital’s radiology team, Dipompo performs CT scanning and mammographies. She is a graduate of Mid Maine Medical Center School of Radiology.

When asked what she likes about her job, Dipompo says she especially enjoys the people she works with as well as the patient care. “Our department works great as a team and that’s important. Every day I enjoy interacting and taking care of my patients,” she said.

Dipompo lives in Jay with her husband Dan, and school-age children, Ryan and

Brittany. During her free time she enjoys walking, being involved in her children’s school activities and cheering them on during sporting events.
