TURNER – The Turner Patriots evened their record at 1-1 with an 11-8 victory over the Hartford Aces in the 12-Under Division of the A-K Girls Softball League. Jocelyn Harvey led the offense with 2 hits. Brianne Soracco added a key safety. Alivia Bradley earned the pitching win. Sara Theriult, Amber Robinson, LeAnn Abbott, Ellen Jones and Jayde Purington all had hits for the Aces (0-2).
Leeds (2-0) remained unbeaten in the 12-Under Division with a 15-4 win over the Turner Cougars. Elizabeth Henry enjoyed a big night, going 4-4, 3 triples and a double. Chelsea McCormick had a 3-3 game. Winning pitcher was Catherine Rothie. Angelea Prescott went 3-3 for the Cougars.
