1933 – 2003

SABATTUS – Lawrence A. Crowley Sr., 69, a resident of 74 High St., died early Friday morning at his residence following a short illness.

He was born in Bowdoin, Nov. 29, 1933, the son of Douglas F. and Janet (Ray) Crowley. He was a life long resident of Sabattus and both he and his wife celebrated 50 years of marriage this past April 15.

Survivors include his wife the former Marie “Valore” Michaud whom he married April 15, 1953; three sons, Mr. Lawrence “Larry” Crowley Jr. and his wife Cathy of Litchfield, Mr. Louis Crowley and his wife, Dorene of Greene, Mr. Christopher Crowley and his wife, Melissa of Sabattus; one daughter, Elaine Borders and her husband, Scott of Jacksonville Beach, FL.; four brothers, Mr. Norman Crowley and companion Laura Vachon of Sabattus, Mr. Stanley Crowley of Lewiston, Mr. Robert Crowley and his wife Violet of Lewiston, and Dennis Crowley of Sabattus; two sisters, Sheila Cash and her husband, Jake and Beverly Crowley both of Poland; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
