1910 – 2003

FREEPORT – Pauline G. Curtis, 92, of Mechanic Falls died Wednesday, May 14, at the Hawthorne House.

She was born in Mechanic Falls on May 16, 1910, the daughter of Orville and Mabel Thurlow Goss. She was a 1927 graduate of the Maine School of Commerce. She had been employed as a bookkeeper for Wilner Wood Products.

She had lived in the house she was born in for 92 years, recently moving to the Hawthorne House in Freeport to be closer to her daughter Donna in Falmouth. She was an accomplished piano player and was an avid Red Sox fan.

She is survived by a daughter, Donna DeWolfe Lucas and her husband Bernard Lucas of Falmouth; two granddaughters; five great-grandchildren; and a niece.

She was predeceased by her husband, Fremont Curtis.
