RUMFORD – The SAD 43 board members plan to meet in three closed sessions as well as act on a variety of routine matters when they meet on Monday, May 19.

The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. in the library of Mountain Valley High School.

Superintendent Danny Michaud said the closed-door sessions will be for two disciplinary hearings, on a middle school boy and a high school boy. The third will be to take up a teacher contract matter.

During the public session, the board expects to act on a school-wide tobacco use policy and hear reports from the board’s various committees. Michaud will announce the resignation of nutrition services director Martha O’Leary, who is leaving to join the SAD 17 district in Paris.

Appointments for other positions will be announced. The board also will nominate representatives for the Maine School Board Association Board of Directors.
