1932 – 2003

LEWISTON – Sally Turcotte, 70, of Lisbon Road, Lewiston, died on Monday, May 19, after a courageous battle with cancer at Central Maine Medical Center.

She was born in Boston, Mass., on Nov. 25, 1932, the daughter of Ralph Napolean Langerin and Hattie M. Gay. She was educated in Vermont schools and graduated from Barton Academy.

She married the love of her life Gerard (Ben) Turcotte on May 8, 1953. Among her interests were dogs, Internet geneology, pictures, flowers, sewing and birds. Her greatest pleasure in life, however, was babysitting her wonderful grandchildren and spending time with her family.

She will be sadly missed, but always remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.

She is survived by her husband, Ben of 50 years of Lewiston; two daughters, Debra Gale and her husband Roland Martin of Lewiston and Mona Jean and Claude Smith of Eustis; four sons, Lawrence Gerard and his wife Lorraine of Lewiston, Conrad Raymond of Lewiston, James Timothy and his wife Diane of Litchfield and Alan Peter and his wife Jennifer of Oxford; 16 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one half-sister, Nelly Corrow of Barton, Vt.; and two half-brothers, George and Howard Healey of Glover, Vt.
