1922 – 2003
AUBURN – Roger F. Conant, 81, passed away Sunday, May 18, at the Clover Living Center.
He was born on March 2, 1922, the son of Frederick and Ruth (Berry) Conant. He graduated from Edward Little High School in 1939.
He served his country during World War II in the Navy. He worked for many years as a salesman for Atlas Supply Co. He was a member of several clubs including the East Auburn P.T.A., the E.A. Community Unit, the E.A. Baptist Church, the Eastwind Gospel Quartet and the Twin City Squares. He enjoyed square dancing and calling. Many people enjoyed his singing at church and nursing homes.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Shirley Conant; a daughter, Cindy and her husband Scott Taylor of Turner, a son, Gary and wife Janice Conant of Auburn, a daughter, Tracey and husband Steve Berry of Turner, a daughter, Sherry and husband Anthony Pare of Minot, a son, James of Nahant, Mass., a daughter, Dianne and husband Russell Sherwood of Ariz., a daughter, Claudia Duperey of Poland, and a daughter, Sonya and husband Horace Gower of Freeport; three brothers, Donald of Auburn, Richard of Dalton, Mass., and Bruce of Wakefield, N.H.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
