WEST SUMNER – The West Sumner Univeralist Church will hold its annual church meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 29, at the church vestry. Everyone is invited to attend.

Honoring veterans

PARIS – Floyd A. Harlow Jr. Post 9787, VFW, will honor veterans of the 103rd starting at 4 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, at the post home. Tapes and videos will be shown. A social hour will be held at 5 and supper served at 6.

Special guests that night will include winners of the annual loyalty day poster program and their teacher. A meeting of the post will follow. All are invited.

Cemetery fence

OTISFIELD – There will be a special meeting of the Elmwood Cemetery Association at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, June 7, at the East Otisfield Free Baptist Church. The fence fund will be discussed. The public is welcome.

Church speaker

PARIS – The First Baptist Church of Paris will present guest speaker Ben Conant of South Paris who will conduct the Sunday worship service at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, June 8, at the church on Paris Hill. Pastor Ron Blake will return June 15.

Garden tour

FRYEBURG – Members of the Fryeburg Homemakers Extension will meet at the Fryeburg American Legion at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, June 11, for a brief meeting. They will carpool to the Eastman Hill Gardens to tour the gardens and auditorium. The group will be going to Pleasant Point Restaurant in Lovell for lunch. They will be offered a ride round the lake after lunch by Priscilla Barton.

Wildlife show

BRYANT POND – The Book Discussion Group of the Whitman Memorial Library will feature a wildlife slide show by Jennifer Loomis, a wildlife photographer, at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 12.

Organ concert

BERLIN, N.H. – Organist George Bozeman will perform at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 12, at St. Kieran Community Center for the Arts, 155 Emery St. Tickets are $10 at the door.
