Wake up and smell the roses, folks. You’re being conned by this so-called “tax cut” of the Republicans. The reason they’re pushing it so much is because they’re the party of the rich and that’s who is going to get most of the money. Average Joe Schmo is only going to get a few beads and shiny trinkets.

Taking all this money out of the federal budget to give to the wealthy is going to add a lot to the deficit, which means the Feds aren’t going to be sending as much to the state and local governments. These, in turn, will respond by either providing fewer services (more potholes and less education) or raising taxes; in either case, what little advantage there seemed to be for the little guy is going to quickly disappear.

So – you can be not too clever and join the line of zombies supporting the alleged “tax cut,” or you can oppose this windfall for the rich. Think about it, and ask yourself – do you want to wake up in a few months and realize you’ve been had by the Republicans – again?
