VANCEBORO (AP) – A Vanceboro man was killed in an all-terrain vehicle accident just outside this Washington County town, the Maine Warden Service reported Saturday.
The body of Scot O’Brien, 38, was found on a road leading into Lambert Lake.
“We’re surmising that this person was traveling down the road, lost control and struck a tree,” Lt. Nat Berry said.
Berry quoted investigators as saying alcohol containers were found at the scene, “but we don’t know if it’s connected at this time. We’ll have to await an autopsy to find out if alcohol was directly involved.”
A man who found O’Brien’s body called the Maine State Police barracks in Orono shortly before 10 a.m.
