The political rhetoric, the hypocrisy, the half-truths and the lies all jumped off the page at me:

All Republican administrations lie to us (May 18). And Democrat administrations don’t?

According to your guest columnist, President Bush is a fraud and Al Gore actually won the election (even though Bush won 38 states and Gore won 12 states). President Bush was in charge on Sept. 11, he knew about the attacks in advance and he is responsible for what happened (even though Bush had been in office less than 8 months and Clinton had been “in charge” the previous 8 years).

Saddam Hussein was chosen by the CIA to assassinate his predecessor? Hussein did not assassinate his predecessor and the CIA was never involved.

“Big Brother” is watching you? If I am not a criminal or terrorist, who cares?

We went into Iraq for oil and we are stealing the assets of foreign countries? So when do I start paying 75 cents a gallon for gas?

Are these the comments of some uneducated big mouth Hollywood idiot like Michael Moore? The words of al-Jazeera or some other Arab-controlled propaganda machine? Excerpts from a Tom Daschle or Ted Kennedy speech? The words of some crack-smoking, purple-haired, body-pierced, unemployed anti-Bush, er, anti-“war” protester?

No, these are the rantings of a regular contributor to the Sun Journal, a human rights lawyer among other things, from Farmington.
