1926 – 2003
Lewiston – Scott Dana Turner Sr., 77, of Hartford died Thursday, May 22, 2003, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston. He was born March 30, 1926, in Greenwich, Conn.
He served as a corporal in the Marines during World War ii and received a Purple Heart. He was a flight instructor from 1949-1951, an electrician, gunsmith, outdoor sportsman and respected authority on antique firearms and ammunition and a Golden Eagle member of the National Rifle Association. He received an associated degree in ecology in 1974.
He is survived by six sons ant their families: Scott Jr., Steven, Miles, Spencer, Cole, Jeffrey and Ross; a sister, Arlean Walker; former wife, Dorothy; 12 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, two nephews and a niece.
He was predeceased by his parents, Lewis Turner and Viola Mae Turner.
