RUMFORD – Two 19-year-old men were summoned on several charges Tuesday.

After a young woman filed a complaint at the police station at 8:45 p.m., alleging she’d been assaulted, officer Douglas Maifeld investigated.

He later summoned both Jesse Farrington of Rumford and Carlo Gaura of Andover with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and criminal restraint. Gaura was also summoned for assault.

A routine background check also revealed that Farrington was wanted on a warrant for failure to appear on a charge of criminal mischief.

Maifeld subsequently arrested him. After spending three hours in detention at the station, Farrington was released on $200 cash bail.

According to Maifeld’s report, the incident began on Falmouth Street when Farrington took the keys out of the victim’s mother’s van.

When the woman tried to get the keys back, the two men played “keep away” games until she sat in the passenger seat, said Sgt. George Cayer.

The two men then allegedly forced her to stay in the van, he added.

Then, according to the victim, Gaura, who was in the driver’s seat,, “touched all over her body. It was an assault that was sexual in nature,” Cayer added.

In other police news, past summonses include:

• Adam Hanna, 18, of Rumford, for possession of marijuana, on May 21 by officer James Bernard.

• William Weaver, 19, of Livermore, for possession of marijuana, on May 17 by officer Daniel Garbarini.

• Mark Pulsifer, 43, of Mexico, for operating after suspension and an inspection violation, on May 16 by officer Paul Casey.

• James Labrecque, 48, of Roxbury, for driving to endanger, on May 15 by officer Paul Casey.
