AUGUSTA The Maine Women’s Network of the Maine State Chamber is hosting the 2nd Annual Celebration of Amazing Women from noon to 3 p.m. June 19 in Thorne Hall at Bowdoin College.

The featured speaker is Karen Gordon Mills, managing director and founder of Solera Capital, a New York City private equity investment firm that supports women-owned business enterprises. Solera made initial investments in Latina Media Ventures and Annie’s Homegrown and regularly contributes to the establishment of new companies owned by women.

She resides in Brunswick with her husband, Barry Mills, president of Bowdoin College, and their three sons.

The celebration will highlight the Maine Women’s Network’s successes and accomplishments of this past year featuring and acknowledging the Greater Portland, Androscoggin and Mid-coast chapters.

Lighthearted Productions will also present its new video of Maine’s Amazing Women.
