WRENTHAM CENTRE, Mass. – Gardiner E. “Bud” Witham, 81, of Washington Street, Plainville, Mass., died on Sunday in the Maples Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Wrentham, Mass. He was the husband of Dorothy (Sanford) Witham, whom he married on Feb. 16, 1960.
Born in Howland on June 3, 1922, he was the son of the late Percy Earl and Iza (Verdie) Witham. Bud was a graduate of Mexico High School in Mexico. Prior to retirement many years ago, he had been employed by the Town of Mexico as a lumberman.
In addition to his wife he is survived by a step-brother, Charles Libby Jr., of Mexico, and a step-sister, Barbara Doucette of Rhode Island.
