Putnam, Lake win selectmen seats
LIVERMORE FALLS – Voters elected incumbent Selectman Clayton Putnam over challenger Russell Flagg to serve a three-year selectman term.
Former Selectman Bernal Lake defeated incumbent Selectman Jim Collins to serve in a two-year position.
Putnam received 180 votes to Flagg’s 165 votes.
Lake received 182 votes with Collins getting 158.
In the SAD 36 races, Russell Flagg received the highest number of write-in votes with four to serve a one-year term.
For three, three-year director’s seats, Jackie Knight received 245 votes, Fred Nadeau 214 votes, and Russell Flagg received three write-in votes. He will have to choose what term he is most interested in.
Eric Rodzen received 220 votes and Betsy DuBois got 251 to each fill one of two, two-year terms on the SAD 36 Board of Directors.

Rangeley
Morton wins in Rangeley
RANGELEY – Newcomer Richard Morton defeated incumbent Selectman Stephen Philbrick in a contested selectman’s race. Russell Brooks and Rick Godaire were the winners in the School Committee race.
Voters cast 147 votes for Philbrick and 175 for Richard Morton to serve a three-year selectman’s term.
In the School Committee race, Cathy White received 149 votes, Russell Campbell 146 votes, Rick Godaire 151 votes and Russell Brooks 153 votes.
Rudy Davis with 161 votes and Karen Worcester with nine write-in votes were each elected to serve a three-year term on the Rangeley Water District. Jim Jannace with 265 votes and Dan Perkins with eight write-in votes were each elected to serve in the two available three-year Sewer Commission terms.
Residents Anthony Jannace Jr. and Joseph Fitzgerald were elected to serve on the Parks and Recreation Committee. Jannace received 164 votes and Fitzgerald received 224. Committee candidate Shirley Herbert received 158 votes.
