AUBURN – Meineke Muffler picked up 2 wins in recent action. The Mufflermen knocked off Fortin Construction-CareQuest 7-1 Wednesday as Brad O’Connor went 3-3, including a home run. Jeff Goss also stroked a round-tripper. Chris Allen went 2-2 for the losers. Bob Smith also provided some offense. . .Thursday in makeup action, Meineke beat B&B Catering 12-5 as Bob Sawyer went 3-3. Forrest Martin added 2 safeties. John Brackett walloped a homer for the Caterers. John Palance went 3-3.
Oxford Hills Girls
HEBRON – Minot-Hebron gained an 8-5 victory over Paris in the Little League Division of the Oxford Hills Girls Softball League.
Courtney Gray sparked the offense with a single, double and triple. She scored 3 runs and wound up swiping 4 bases. Tori Hricko pitched a complete game, scattering 4 hits over 7 innings while striking out 7. Catcher Toni Ritchie was solid on defense.
Sami Dolloff pitched well for Paris, fanning 17.
