1924 – 2003

MINOT – Conrad Bertrand Cote, 79, of Jeffrey Road passed away June 15, after a long battle with cancer, at his home with his loving family by his side.

He was born on March 10, 1924, in Lewiston, the son of Arsene and Clara (Lessard) Cote. He served his country proudly in the US Army in the European Theatre during World War II.

He enjoyed playing bingo and outdoor activities including walking and feeding ducks. He also volunteered at CMMC for seven years. He worked over 30 years in Koss Shoe in New Auburn and later for Knapp shoe in Lewiston until his retirement in 1991.

He is survived by his brother, Ronaldo Cote of Auburn; sons, Richard Cote of Sabattus, William Cote of Portland; daughters, Dorothy Pelletier of Auburn, Kathleen Cote of Minot; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Anita (Lebel) in 1991; his brothers, Adrien, Albert, Paul, and Reno Cote; and his sister, Gizelle Goslin.
