MT. VERNON – The Kennebec Land Trust’s first stewardship training workshop will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 28, at Camp Bearnstow on Parker Pond in Mt. Vernon.

Tin Smith from the Wells Reserve will be the guest speaker. Smith will discuss the roles and responsibilities of stewards and the Land Trust Alliance policies for stewardship.

Jim Connors, KLT director, and chairman of the Stewardship Committee, will cover the KLT’s adoption of the LTA standards and stewardship activities on Trust lands.

Those attending are invited to stay after the workshop for an optional botany walk, swim, or picnic at the camp.
