1926 – 2003

LEWISTON – Georgia Mae Nadeau, 76, of 44 North Temple St., Lewiston, died Tuesday, June 24, at CMMC.

Born in Milan, N.H., July 12, 1926, the daughter of Percy and Georgia Carver Twitchell, she was married to Lucien Roger Nadeau, who died on April 8, 1988.

Mrs. Nadeau was a member of Holy Family Parish and her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved knitting and always made sure that everyone had enough hats, mittens and socks to keep them warm through the winter.

Survivors include three children, Lucien Nadeau and wife, Clemence of Lewiston, Sandra McGill and husband Donald of Lewiston and Edward Nadeau and wife, Louise of Sabattus; three sisters, Jennie Donaldson of Drummer, N.H., Norma Martin of Westbrook and Helen Gervais and her husband, Philip of Lewiston; seven grandchildren, Lindy McCallum, Joye and husband, Craig Dostie, Alan and wife, Sue Nadeau, Glenn and wife, Susan McGill, Nicholas Nadeau, Hope Nadeau and Mae Nadeau; five great-grandchildren, Madison McCallum, Jacob McGill, Robert Dostie, Cooper Nadeau and Ben Dostie; and a future great-granddaughter to be born in early fall; and two sisters-in-law, Carmen Caron and Connie Nadeau.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Lucien Roger Nadeau Sr.; an infant son, Albert; two brothers, Merton and Richard Jackson; and two sisters, Ester Stiles and Rena Lynne. She will be greatly missed by all those who loved her.
