WEST PARIS – Kami Marois won the recent Miss Oxford Hills Majorette title, and West Paris won first place at the fifth annual Western Maine Baton Twirling Competition.
Ten teams and about 60 twirlers performed at the Agnes Gray School. Judy Green and Annette Martin judged.
In group competition West Paris won first place in first to third grade and fourth to sixth grade divisions. Tiny Tot Teams ages up to 6 years of age performed, as well as the junior high school team and the mother and daughter team.
The Oxford team placed second in the first to thired grade division, and in the fourth to sixth grade division, Waterford came in second and Oxford third.
There were nine divisions in the individual competitive events and the results were as follows: Mini Miss Oxford Hills Majorette: first, Krystin Noyes; second, Dakota Wendell; and third, Maggie Whittemore.
Novice division, first, Brittney Collette; second, Hope Godinl third, Kaylee Millett.
