NORWAY – Volunteers are needed for the second annual Oxford Hills 8K Run to the Lake on Sunday, July 13.

More than 100 runners are expected to participate, organizers say, and at least 50 volunteers are needed for various duties.

Registration will begin at 7 a.m. and the post-race activities should be done by 10 a.m.

“If you can only volunteer for part of the event, we’d love to have you for whatever you can do. Volunteers will get a free T-shirt. Come on out, it will be a great day and support a healthy cause,” said Joe Wyman, project director of Healthy Oxford Hills.

He said volunteers are needed: for registration, including the registration booth, race packet pickup and satellite registration; for the two water stops; at the finish line to assist runners as they come in; for traffic control on the course; and for parking control to show people where to park and give them directions to the race.

For information or to volunteer phone Libby or Joe from Healthy Oxford Hills at 743-5933, extension 775.
