1948 – 2003

PORTLAND – Beverly Anne Cataldo, 54, of Scarborough, formerly of Hampden, died Tuesday, July 1, following a brave and courageous battle with breast cancer.

She was born Dec. 25, 1948, in Rumford, a daughter of Edgar J. and Albertine M. (LeBlanc) Arsenault. She was a 1967 graduate of Mexico High School and went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree from Husson College in 1990.

On Dec. 15, 1969 she married Gregory G. Cataldo. She worked as an executive secretary for Unum/Provident. She was a loving wife and dedicated mother to her three children. Through the years she was very active in following all of their sporting events and school activities.

She was an outgoing person who loved bringing joy to the lives of her many friends. A very active person, she enjoyed skiing, on both the water and snow, quilting, sewing, needlepoint and researching her family tree. Some of her happiest times were spent at camp on Moosehead Lake and at Sugarloaf with her family and friends.

Surviving are her husband, Gregory G. Cataldo; a daughter, Leigh M. Cataldo of San Diego, Calif.; two sons, Tyler G. Cataldo of Dillon, Colo., and Brian C. Cataldo of Boulder, Colo.; two brothers, Leonard Arsenault of Grand Forks, ND, and Ronald Arsenault of Dixfield; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
