1931 – 2003

TARPON SPRINGS, Fla. – Joline Simpson Pelletier, 71, formerly of Lewiston, died in Tarpon Springs, Fla., on July 2.

Born in Lewiston Sept. 28, 1931, she was the daughter of Joseph Honore and Marie Lea Beaudoin Simpson. She graduated Lewiston High School in 1950 and following in her mother’s footsteps became a registered nurse, graduating CMGH’s School of Nursing in 1953.

While raising her family she was employed in the Lewiston-Auburn area in hospitals and nursing homes, as well as a private duty nurse and school nurse for the City of Lewiston.

For the last 10 years she was employed by the Hospice of the Florida Suncoast, giving care and comfort to the dying and their families, a job which she cherished.

She was a member of The CMG-CMMC Alumni Association, The Patronesses of St. Mary’s, and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She had a lively and entertaining spirit, making friends wherever she ventured. She had a love of travel and the arts, and instilled that love in her children.

She is survived by four sons, Daniel and Marc of New York City, Dr. John Pelletier of Brunswick, William and wife Carol Bosse Pelletier of Auburn; three daughters, Denyse of Odessa, Fla., Tina and husband Brooks Clark of West Buxton, and Joelle and fiancé Don Mottola of Watertown, Mass.; two grandchildren, Jared and Brendon Pelletier of Auburn; her former husband, Jerry Pelletier of Lewiston; one sister, Janice Louise, and her husband Raymond Spencer of Portland; two sisters-in-law, Annette Ouellette of Lewiston and Dorothy Lane of Falmouth; brother-in-law, Lawrence Caret of Oakland; many nieces, nephews and their families, numerous cousins, and many friends.

She was predeceased in 2002 by her sister, Monique Caret.
