1918 – 2003

RUMFORD – Wildy A. Blouin, 85, a life long resident of the area, died Tuesday, July 8, at his residence on Oxford Avenue, Rumford.

He was born in Rumford, on Jan. 19, 1918, a son of Napoleon and Josephine (Dupuis) Blouin, and had attended Rumford schools. Mr Blouin had worked in the Finishing Room for many years at Oxford Paper Co. in Rumford until retirement.

He was a communicant of St. Athanasius – St. John Church and was a member of Rumford Falls Aerie 1248, F.O.E. He was married in Rumford on Nov. 28, 1948 to the late Viola Shorey who died in Rumford on Sept. 27, 1985.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Diane Worden and husband Jon of Mexico, Miss Ann Marie Blouin of Rumford, Ms. Donna Bonham of Boothbay Harbor; six sons, Bill Blouin and wife Landy, Dick Blouin, Tim Blouin and wife Leeann all of Rumford, Bob Blouin and companion Tuffy of Peru, John Blouin and fiancé Tina of Mexico, David Blouin and wife Mary of Mexico; a sister, Mrs. Mildred Minkle of West Boyleston, Mass.; a brother, Clifford Blouin and wife Louise of Holden, Mass.; many grandchildren; and his special friend, Mrs. Muriel Day of Rumford.
