JAY – Posts have been installed to hold “no parking” signs along a section of Main Street.
The signs will be put up soon with the ban going into effect Aug. 1 from 88 Main St., or south of C.N. Brown service station, down to 8 Main St. or north of the Unicel building.
Selectmen voted last month to prohibit parking on Main Street, also Route 4, due to safety concerns, including infringement of parked vehicles on the travel lanes of the highway and vehicles exiting driveways.
