1915 – 2003
LEWISTON – Florence A. Chabot, 87, of 292 Webber Ave., died Friday, July 25 at Ste. Marguerite d’Youville Pavilion surrounded by her family.
Born in Augusta, Aug. 15, 1915, a daughter of Archelas and Philomene Gagne Dostie, she was educated in Lewiston schools. She worked as homemaker as she and her husband raised their family, but she also spent many years employed in the local shoe industry of Lewiston-Auburn. Mrs. Chabot was a member of Holy Cross Parish, Holy Cross Senior Citizens and enjoyed playing beano, making crafts, puzzles and playing cards.
She is survived by her husband Robert H. Chabot of Lewiston whom she married Nov. 9, 1940; three daughters, Doris Ellison-Chabot of West Hills, Cal., Dolores Blondin and husband, Gerard, of Auburn, and Diane Rioux and husband, Robert, of Lewiston; eight grandchildren, Scott, Christy, Nicole, Chad, Anthony, Alan, Michelle and Kevin; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a sister, Rose Theriault of Auburn.
She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Cindi; three sisters, Yvonne, Alda and Lilliane; and four brothers, Philias, Adelbert, Adelard and Leo.
