WILTON – The 17th annual Chase-Colburn reunion was held July 20 outside the Reunion Building at Kineowatha Park. The treasurer’s report was read by Darlene Tyler and the secretary’s report was read by Shannon Smith.
Officers elected were president, Wanda Holmguist; vice president, Charity Millett; treasurer, Montris Tyler; and secretary, Shannon Smith.
The committee honored the following: oldest person, Bert Holmquist, 80; youngest, Jevin Smith, 20 months; nearest, Faith Breton, High Street; and furthest, Amylynn Smith, Boston, Mass.
The auction was started with Shannon Smith as auctioneer assisted by many helpers. People had a chance to bid on Wilton Bicentennial yo-yo’s. The money raised helps pay reunion expenses.
A luncheon was held and relatives had a chance to socialize with each other. Chelsea Tyler made balloon characters for the small children. Many outside activities were held. A balance of $184.10 was left with all the expenses paid.
Relatives came from Wilton, Weld, Peru, Jay, Mexico, Rumford, Farmington, Auburn and Massachusetts.
Cushman family
STRONG – The 27th Cushman reunion will be held at noon Sunday, Aug. 3, at the campsite of Ron and Gayle White. Family members are asked to bring a casserole, salad, bread, beans or a dessert to share and are reminded not to forget the auction and Can-a-rama. They are also asked to bring any photographs, stories or items of interest to share with the group.
Brackley meeting
STRONG – The 111th Brackley reunion will be held at noon Sunday, Aug. 10, at the Strong Elementary School. Family members are asked to bring a casserole, salad, bread, beans or a dessert to share and an item for a white elephant auction – a new or used item in good condition. They are also asked to bring any photographs, stories, activities or items of interest to share with the group.
Worthley family
WELD – The Worthley family reunion (Phillips branch) will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 10, at Mount Blue State Park, Webb Beach area. All related family members and guests are welcome. The affair will be led by Geneva Worthley. The meal will be potluck and a Scottish auction and entertainment will follow.
Adams gathering
WILTON – The 125th reunion of the descendants of Moses and Martha (Kinney) Adams was held July 19 in the Reunion Building at Kineowatha Park. A potluck noon meal was served. A silent auction was held and genealogy was discussed. Members attended from Maine and out of state. Next year’s reunion will be held on the third Saturday in July at Kineowatha Park.
