GREENE – Meghan E. Asquith recently graduated magna cum laude from the University of Maine in Orono with a degree in public management and a minor in political science.

She was awarded the Outstanding Undergraduate for Public Administration Award at the Department of Administration’s annual awards/recognition banquet and was inducted into the Pi Alpha Alpha National Honor Society for Public Administration. She was also the vice president of the Golden Key International Honor Society and a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.

She was awarded the Edward F. Dow Maine Town and City Management Association. Scholarship. She will attend the Muskie Graduate School at USM for public administration. She is the daughter of Kathi Asquith of Greene and the late Robert Asquith.

Her sister, Bethany C. Asquith, has been accepted into the Honors College at the University of Maine in Orono. She recently graduated from Leavitt Area High School, receiving seven awards/scholarships, including the Maine Principals Scholarship, Daughters of the American Revolution Award and several for music, theater and community.

Kathi Asquith, mother of Meghan, Heather and Bethany Asquith of Greene, was awarded the degree of masters of science in education at the University of New England’s College of Arts and Sciences and College of Health Professions Commencement on May 17 at the Cumberland County Civic Center in Portland.
