1914 – 2003

LEWISTON – Ida L. Grant, 89, of Drew Plantation died at CMMC in Lewiston Aug. 2.

She was born in Drew on Feb. 7, 1914, the daughter of Ernest and Cora Butters Leavitt.

She loved to hunt and fish, as well as play beano and attend bluegrass festivals. She will be remembered for the beautiful quilts she made for her family. She was loved by all who knew her and will be sadly missed by everyone.

She is survived by one sister, Mary Cummings of Lewiston; two daughters, Loretta Bernard and her husband Oliver of Poland, and Laurel Martin and her companion Chuck Mason of Lewiston; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She also leaves James and Donald Potter of Drew, whom she loved and considered family.

She was predeceased by her husband, Harry Grant; one brother, Ernest Leavitt; one sister, Eva Libby; one son, Tallman Leavitt; and one grandson, Paul Emery.
