POLAND – The Mechanic Falls-Poland Adult Education office has announced a list of classes starting up this fall.
General interest classes being offered are: Internet for Seniors with Sara Carson for people who do not have experience with computers.
Chair Seating with Hans Paulsen will show how to use cane, splint or paper rush to make a work of art from an old chair.
Composting Basics with Web Harrison will show participants how to create a rich compost pile in the garden.
Line Dancing with Tanya Whittier will teach dancing skills.
Picture Matting with Deborah Housley will be about basic matting designs.
Writing Workshop with Mary McNulty will be taught to improve writing. The course is free to Poland Regional High School and Mechanic Falls-Poland Adult Education diploma students.
Fitness for Life with Deb Conway will feature aerobics. Teens are welcome with an attending adult. This free class start from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 8, Poland Community School
The Mechanic Falls-Poland Adult Education office has been moved to 1223 Maine St. (Poland Town Hall upstairs). For more information about our new day and evening classes for skill upgrading, high school diplomas and GED testing, call 998-2934. The business skills and computer lab are also enrolling new students.
