AUBURN – Lewiston-Auburn’s Community Little Theatre announces the lineup for its 64th season. The opener will be “Singin’ in the Rain,” directed by John Blanchette, Oct. 17 to 26.

The season will include “The Foreigner,” directed by Linda Britt, Jan. 9 to 18; “Forever Plaid,” directed by David Lock, March 5 to 14; “Noises Off,” directed by Celeste Philippon and Chris Scott; and “The Scarlet Pimpernel,” directed by Richard Martin.

The “second season” will be a first-time venture, with CLT joining forces with Central Maine Medical Center to present “BroadwayLA” in April.

According to Janet Gibson, who is heading the season ticket sales, the past year has seen a dramatic increase in the sale of season tickets due to the successful return of old favorites.

The current production of “Annie” was a sell-out, prompting her to say “patrons are advised to obtain their reservations early so as not to be disappointed.”

Season tickets remain $45 for five shows. The price represents a 30 percent discount on the cost of individual tickets, which are $13 and $11 for seniors and full-time students. The second season tickets are $20 each and are not part of the season ticket package.

Gibson reports that interested patrons should place their orders for season tickets subscriptions by Sept. 15, enabling them to have better selections.

After that date, tickets will be made available to the general public. Additional advantages for season tickets holders include guaranteed “same-seat” reservations, no-hassle exchanges up to 48 hours prior to curtain, annual membership, receiving “Backstage Whispers,” the CLT newsletter and audition notices.

Season tickets will be available through Sept. 15 by calling the box office at 783-0958 or by visiting the Web site at laclt.com.

All performances will be held at the Great Falls Performing Arts Center on Academy Street, except “The Scarlet Pimpernel” and “Broadway LA,” which will be held at the Lewiston Middle School.
