1909 – 2003

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. – Helen G. (Roetzer) Ross, of Framingham, died Monday, Aug. 25. Beloved wife of the late Arthur L. Ross who died in 1985.

She was born June 6, 1909, the daughter of the late Alois J. and Leopoldine (Vrana) Roetzer. Mrs. Ross is a graduate of Everett High School, Tufts University and Boston University Graduate School class of 1932.

A High School Latin teacher formerly in Framingham, North Dartmouth, and Winchendon. Also a member of Park Street Baptist Church, the Framingham Woman’s Club, contributor and supporter of Danforth Museum in Framingham.

Survivors include her stepdaughters, Florence J. Summerhays and her husband William E. of Kennebunk, and Muriel A. Benshimol and her husband Richard of Wells, formerly of Reading; sisters-in-law, Thurdelda M. Roetzer of Pennsylvania, Mrs. Levi M. Ross and Josephine T. Wrenn both of Maine; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brother, Alfred Arnold Roetzer formerly of Pennsylvania.
