ORONO – The Orono Inventors Forum will hold a joint meeting with Maine Technology Institute from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, at the Target Technology Center, 20 Godfrey Drive, Orono.

Lawyer Woody Higgins will present “Advanced Patent Basics and Patent Strategies.” This will be an interactive program, and it will assume at least some familiarity with the patent process.

Higgins is the director of the Maine Patent Program, with more than 35 years of experience as an intellectual property attorney, including experience with patent, trademark and copyright prosecution and technology licensing.

A social time starts at 5:30 p.m. Dinner will be provided
