AUBURN – Staff Sgt. Shawn M. Allen has returned to Maine to serve as an Army recruiter at the U.S. Army Recruiting Station at the Auburn Plaza.

Allen is a 1991 graduate of Gorham High School. He was previously assigned to Fort Bragg, N.C., where he served as an instructor. Other assignments have included Korea and Fort Polk, La.

Allen is the recipient of the Army Achievement Medal, Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.
