PRESQUE ISLE – Brett Howarth, Mamhoud Sowe, and Mike Zeidler each scored a second half goal to propell the University of Maine at Machaisto a 3-1 win over the University of Maine at Presque Isle Sunday afternoon.

The Owls lone goal came as Sebastian Itman converted a feed from Jamie Brewer with just over two minutes left in regulation to avert the shutout.

Women’s Soccer

Harvard 3, Maine 0

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Allison Kaveney scored what proved to be the game-winning goal at 8:02 with a shot to the top of the right corner that beat the University of Maine keeper Tanya Adorno sending Harvard University to a 3-0 win in women’s soccer.

The Crimson Tide added to its lead at 30:52 when Emily Colvin beat a apir of defenders to drive the ball to the back of the net.

Alicia Moanrounded out the scorring drilling a goal five minutes into the second half to account for the final score.

Kate Shield registered the shutout stopping six shots.

Bowdoin 4, Bridgewater 0

BRUNSWICK – Jill Falwell booted a pair of goals to lead Bowdoin College to a 4-0 win over Bridgewater State on Sunday.

The Polar Bears (3-0) remain unbeaten on the year having outscored their oppoments 11-1 on the season.

Bowdoin dominated the game outshooting Bridgewater 19-5, with Elizabeth Graham and Hillary Smith each addeing a goal to round out the scoring.

Rebekah Metzler (3 saves) and Anna Shapell combined in goal to register the shutout.
