BOLSTERS MILLS – The Oxford County Retired Teachers Association will learn about how SeniorsPlus is making headway in assisting the elderly in the county at its meeting on Friday, Sept. 19, at the Bolsters Mills Methodist Church. Cathy Planchart will be the speaker.

The meeting begins at 10:30 a.m. after registration and is followed by dinner. The scholarship fund-raiser is a cookie walk. Home-made or store-bought cookies are brought in by members for sale with proceeds going for three scholarships next spring.

The group is hoping for new members to join them to learn about new legislation effecting health insurance and the Social Security “offset.”
