The St. Dom’s duo combine to punch in eight goals.
POLAND – Erica and Elisha Dorso exploded for eight goals to lead St. Dom’s to a convincing 12-0 win over Poland in WMC field hockey action Friday.
Catlin Rutt chipped in with a hat trick while Nicolle Simon rounded out the scoring for the Saints (5-0). The Dorso sisters also added nine assists in the one-sided win.
Ilissa Vallee needed only two saves to register the shutout.
Telstar 3, Livermore Falls 1
BETHEL – Mallory Brown converted a passing shot just to the right of the cage to lift Telstar to a 3-1 win over MVC rival Livermore Falls in field hockey action Friday.
Jillian Kimball added a goal and an assist while Kayla Mills rounded out the Rebels attack.
Stephanie Tripp (three saves) and Heather Gionet (one save) combined in goal to record the win.
The Andies’ (0-5-1) lone goal came from Rachel Ventrella unassisted.
Winthrop 4, Mtn. Valley 1
WINTHROP – Kenzie Demkowicz drilled a goal off a scramble in front of the goal halfway through the first half to send Winthrop to a 4-1 win over Mountain Valley in field hockey action Friday afternoon.
Mary Zimmerman tallied the Ramblers (5-1) first goal while Elyse Cole and Nicole Emery rounded out the scoring attack.
Tabitha Therrien made four saves to record win.
The Falcons’ (4-1) lone goal came from Samm Johnston on a penalty stroke.
Lewiston 1, Brunswick 0
LEWISTON – Samantha V’Eramo broke free to score the game’s only goal, depositing a shot to the lower right side of the net to give Lewiston a 1-0 win over Brunswick in KVAC field hockey action Friday.
V’Eramo’s goal for the Blue Devils (1-4) came with 1:33 left in regulation and gave the Blue Devils (1-4) their first win of the season.
Angie St. Hilaire needed nine saves to record the shutout.
Jay 4, Georges Valley 0
JAY – Rachel Gagnon redirected a shot from Courtney Gould for the first and only goal Jay would need to blank Georges Valley 4-0 in MVC field hockey action Friday.
Gould made an unassisted goal of her own shortly after Gagnon’s in the second half. Kristen Uhaud assisted on the final two Tiger (3-2) goals.
Miranda Fillebrown stopped 11 shots in goal for the Buccaneers (0-5), while Kaylie DeMillo made four saves for the Tigers.

Winthrop 4, Monmouth 0
MONMOUTH – Melissa Nguyen scored the first of her two goals at 24:01 of the first half to lead Winthrop to a 4-0 win over Monmouth in MVC soccer action Friday.
Laura Ravis and Emilie Knight rounded out the scoring for the Ramblers. Katie Brooks made three saves to register the win.
Lisbon 1, Mtn. Valley 0
LISBON – Soleil Mathieu scored an unassisted goal on a direct kick from 30 yards out to lift Lisbon to a 1-0 win over Mountain Valley in MVC soccer action Friday.
Mathieu’s goal came with 31:14 left in regulation as she booted the ball just over the Falcons’ (1-4) keeper’s head to give the Greyhounds (3-3) their third win of the season. Belle Mathieu needed only five saves to record the shutout.
Mt. Abram 6, Hall-Dale 1
SALEM – Liz Kankainen scored the only goal Mt. Abram would need with 32:48 left in the first half as it handed Hall-Dale a 6-1 setback in MVC soccer action.
Sadie White, Whitney Fahy (two goals), Katie Van Riper and Stephanie Hood rounded out the Roadrunners’ (4-2) attack. Kim Johnson made a pair of saves to record the victory.
Erskine 2, Oak Hill 1
WALES – Mayla Gleaton broke free of the pack five minutes into the second period to deposit the ball in the net, propelling Erskine Academy to a 2-1 win over Oak Hill in soccer action Friday afternoon.
B.J. Dow opened the scoring for Erskine as she converted a feed from Britt Berthieume to take a lead it would never relinquish.
The Raiders (1-4) made a late charge as Danielle Sargeant scored on a pass form Chantel Lavoie with 14:43 left in regulation.
Shannon Proctor turned back seven shots to record the victory.
Boys’ soccer
Poland 3, G-NG 0
POLAND – Josh Pomerleau scored all three of his team’s goals, and Kevin Young added a pair of assists as Poland (3-2) blanked Gray-New Gloucester, 3-0, in WMS boys’ soccer action Friday.
Curtis Haslit fed Pomerleau just 13 minutes into the game for what proved to be the game-winning score.
Max Levine made 10 saves in goal for the Knights’ shutout.
Tyler Doughty stopped 13 shots for the Patriots (1-2-2).
