NORWAY – Elva Wolverton, 95, of Norway, died Sunday, Sept. 28, at Stephens Memorial Hospital.

Born in Canton on Dec. 25, 1907, the daughter of Herbert and Lena Twitchell Hall, she was a graduate of Bates College.

She had been employed as a telephone operator and a store clerk.

She was a member of the Congregational Church in Lake Helen, Fla.

Survivors include five grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law.

She was predeceased by her husbands; her two children; and three brothers.
