AUBURN – Colin Thomas Britt, 2003 graduate of Edward Little High School, is the recipient of the third annual Donald Gay Scholarship.
Britt, who has been active in music and drama at Edward Little as well as L/A Community Theatre and the community-at-large, recently entered the freshman class at the University of Hartford’s Hart School of Music. While unusual for a freshman student, Britt has been selected to participate in the elite Hart Chorale and the Chamber Singers.
The Donald Gay Scholarship Fund was founded by the Edward Little class of 1951 to honor the long-time Auburn School music director of the 1940s and 1950s.
Gay, 90, resides with his wife, daughter and son-in-law in Linneus, outside of Houlton. Those wishing to support the fund may send gifts made to the Donald Gay Scholarship Fund, attention Malcolm Philbrook of Crockett, Philbrook and Crouch, 179 Court St., Auburn 04210.
