Jodi Welch converted a feed from Erin Campbell early in the first half as the Beavers cruised to victory.

ORONO – The University of Maine and Boston University played to a 1-1 tie at the end of double overtime in America East Conference women’s soccer action Sunday afternoon. The Black Bears’ (7-1-1) goal was scored by Katie Hodge at 16:00 on a pass from Kate Crawford and Heather Hathorn.

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Lindsay Dyer had a pair of goals while Alix Oliver chipped in with a goal and an assist to lead Williams College to a 4-0 win over Colby College in women’s soccer Sunday afternoon.

BALTIMORE, Md. – Karyn Mango scored a pair of goals and Amie Dubois added a goal and two assists as the University of Maine rolled to a 3-1 win over America East Conference newcomer University of Maryland-Baltimore County Sunday.

BANGOR – Jamie Giles and Shani Hollins combined for 17 saves to give Husson College its first shutout of the season as the Braves downed Caselton State 3-0 in field hockey action Sunday afternoon.
Sara McIntire scored the only goal the Braves would need on a pass from Karole Anne Emery in the first half.

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Becca Kiselwich scored in overtime to lift Williams College to a 2-1 win over Colby College in NESCAC field hockey action Sunday.
Thomas 3, Lasell 2
WATERVILLE – Meridith Arute scored a pair of goals, including the game-winner in overtime, to propel Thomas College to a 3-2 win over Lasell College in field hockey action Sunday afternoon.
UMF 6, Wheelock 1
BOSTON, Mass. – The University of Maine at Farmington utilized six different scorers to hand Wheelock College a 6-1 setback in women’s field hockey action Sunday.
Darcie Reitchel converted the game-winner goal at the 22:53 mark of the first half to send the Beavers to their sixth win of the season.
Mary Sinclair, Angie White, Lauren Stevens, Kristy Stevens, and Ashley Thayer rounded out the scoring for the Beavers Ashleigh Biette needed just two saves to register the win.

BANGOR – Michael Lima scored a pair of goals to lead Elms College to a 4-1 win over Husson College in men’s soccer action Sunday afternoon.
The Braves’ (5-5) lone goal came from Steve Coffin on a feed from Kyle James.

Tufts 26, Bowdoin 7
MEDFORD, Mass. – The Tufts University football team turned in a dominating performance Sunday afternoon as it handed Bowdoin College a 26-7 setback in football action. The Jumbos (3-0) scored on their first two possessions, going 73 yards in six plays culminated by a 6-yard touchdown pass from Jason Casey to Kevin Holland at 6:04 of the first quarter.
