1939-2003

PALM SPRINGS, Calif. – Roy A. Libby Jr., son of Roy and Elsie Bell Libby, died on Oct. 10, at his home in Palm Springs, Calif., at the age of 63.

Born in Lewiston on May 17, 1939, and a 1958 graduate of Lewiston High School, Roy “Bud” Libby was a well-known performer in the Lewiston/Auburn area in the late 50’s and 60’s and danced with the New England Civic Ballet.

Married in 1962 to his dance partner Charlene Knight, they moved to New York City where he attended City University and worked for ten years as controller for Dassault Int’l., a French aircraft company. They moved west in 1979, to reside in Las Vegas, Nev. He worked for many years as controller for Nevada Audio Visual Services prior to retiring in California.

He is survived by his son, Christopher Libby of Los Angeles, Calif.; and his ex-wife and best friend, Charlene Libby of Las Vegas.
