LIVERMORE FALLS – A rummage and food sale will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday in the vestry of the First Baptist Church, 25 Church St.

Proceeds will benefit the missionary projects of the American Baptist Women.

Auxiliary to meet on Veterans Day

FARMINGTON – The Ladies Auxiliary Veterans of World War I No. 2689 will meet at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 27, in the Deer Crossing dining area. Guests from other auxiliaries plan to attend the meeting, potluck dinner and entertainment. Public services for Nov. 11, which will begin at 11 a.m. at the World War I Arch, will be discussed during the meeting.

Girl Scout Troop 212 meeting set

JAY – The first meeting for Girl Scouts Troop 212, for girls in grades six to nine, will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27, at St. Rose Parish Hall.

Masonic Lodge 20 to meet Monday

FARMINGTON – Maine Lodge 20 will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27, at the hall on Main Street for the master Mason’s degree. There will be a 6:30 p.m. banquet in the lodge dining room followed by the degree. All master Masons are being invited to attend.

Creative economy

FARMINGTON – Anyone interested in downtown revitalization, business attraction, cultural life, youth retention, tourism and strengthening communities is being encouraged to attend a local forum on Oct. 29. Mountain Counties Heritage and the Maine Arts Commission will host a Creative Economy Forum from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, at the University of Maine at Farmington. Afterward, there will be an optional viewing of the film, “Downside Up,” which documents a transformation in the city of North Adams, Mass.
