West Paris – Violet E. Bowen, 91, died Friday, Oct. 24, at Ledgeview Living Center, West Paris.

She was born March 19, 1912, at Prince Rupert, B.C., the daughter of Loring and Hazel Scherk Green.

She worked as a LPN and was owner of Chapel Valley Nursing Home in West Paris. She was a member of the Woodstock Seventh Day Advent Church of Bryant Pond.

She is survived by one son, Theodore Bowen and his wife Joan of Framingham, Mass.; one daughter, Cynthia Bowen of Canton; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
