LEWISTON – E. Louise Gauthier, 83, died Oct. 12, at Russell Park Manor.
Born Sept 21, 1920, in Auburn, to Walter and Bernice (Perkins) Johnson, she was a graduate of Edward Little High School. During World War II, she worked at Bath Iron Works as a welder.
On Jan. 5, 1946, she married Albert H. “Rusty” Gauthier. A few years later they moved to E. Poland, where they raised their family.
Mrs. Gauthier continued to live there after her husband died in 1988, moving to Russell Park a few years ago.
She is survived by a daughter, Sheryl G. Carver, Half Moon Bay, Calif.; a son, CW5 Larry A. Gauthier, stationed at Fort Indiantown Gap, Pa.; and a grandson, PFC Craig L. Gauthier, stationed at Fort Polk, La.
