AUGUSTA – The Capital City Veterans Day 5K and One Mile Fun Run are scheduled for Tuesday, November 11 at Hodgkins Middle School, Augusta.

The Fun Run begins at 9 a.m., and the 5K at 10:00. There will be various age groups beginning with 10-14. Entry fee is $12 for the 5K and $5 for the Fun Run. Long sleeve T-shirts will be given to the first 100 registrants.

XC meet set

POWNAL – Another Maine Association of USA Track and Field cross country preliminary meet is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 2 at Pineland Farms.

There are assorted age groups from 8-under, to 30-over at 5-year intervals. Entry fee for preliminary meets is $2. USATF registration is required and available at the meets. Registration begins at 12:30. Course walks start at 1:00, with the first race to start at 2:00.
